Former EXODUS Singer Comments On Decision To Join TENET
July 25, 2008Former EXODUS frontman Steve "Zetro" Souza has released a statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET regarding his decision to join TENET, the Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada-based project led by Jed Simon (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, ZIMMERS HOLE).
TENET's debut album, "Sovereign", will be released late 2008/early 2009 via Century Media Recocrds.
TENET is:
* Jed Simon (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, ZIMMERS HOLE) - Guitar/Vocals
* Gene Hoglan (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, DEATH, TESTAMENT, DARK ANGEL) - Drums
* Glen Alvelais (FORBIDDEN, TESTAMENT) - Lead Guitar
* Byron Stroud (FEAR FACTORY) - Bass
* Steve "Zetro" Souza (EXODUS, LEGACY) – Vocals
Commented Souza: "We are all professional musicians, and have highest expectations for this new project. And we all feel that we will deliver a brutal debut album.
"Music has always been a huge part of my life, and playing with [TENET] is like joining an all-star metal band.
"When I first heard their music, I was totally blown away. Now I can come in and add my style of vocals. The music is very heavy, at times fast. It has old-school elements, but is modern and fresh. I start recording my vocals August 9, to finish up the album with hopefully a November release on Century Media Records.
"I'd like to thank all the fans who have supported me through all the years, with all the bands that I have played and recorded with. It feels good to be excited about music again, I couldn't have asked for a better situation to step into."
Simon last year uploaded three demo tracks from his TENET project at the official TENET MySpace page. Check out the songs "Indulge Me", "Unnameable" and "Crown of Thorns" at this location.
